Anita Aldana Rios
Vocalist
Born and raised in México, Anita moved to Calgary in 2024 to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in music as a vocalist. Her trajectory began in 2021, where she developed an interest in opera and joined her local music school (Escuela Superior de Música) where she completed her tech-level in Voice and was part of the Voice Ensemble (Ensamble Vocal de la Escuela Superior de Música) for three years. She also became part of the Coro de Opera de Sinaloa from 2022-2024 and participated as a chorister for big productions such as Aida, with the local orchestra (OSSLA). In Calgary she has worked with various university vocal ensembles and Alberta Vocal Arts in the production of Cavalleria Rusticana. Now in her second year at University of Calgary, Anita continues her studies and is excited to find opportunities as a soloist and keep working with other musicians.
