Micaela Francese

Micaela Francese is a violist and student at the University of Calgary pursuing a degree in Geomatics Engineering. She has been a member of the University of Calgary Orchestra since 2021 and previously performed with the Calgary Youth Orchestra.

Micaela began studying violin when she was 8 before discovering the viola when she was 13 through the Mount Royal University Conservatory. She later participated in MRU’s Academy for Young Artists, where she had the opportunity to work with artists including Chris Sandvoss, Michael van der Sloot, Daniel Scholz, Sharon Wei, and Jeremy Berry. Her performance experience has included a variety of orchestral and collaborative settings, most notably performing with Michael Bublé during his Higher tour in 2022.
