Rachel Lock

Rachel Lock is a young performer looking for playing and conducting opportunities. Having graduated from the University of Calgary in 2025 with her Bachelor of Music on French horn, she has pursued various performance and conducting programs, including the Mount Royal Academy Program, the 2024 Calgary Conducting Symposium, the Pacific Northwest Conducting Institute in 2025, and most recently was the Assistant Conductor for “Suor Angelica” at 2026 Prague Summer Nights Young Artists Music Festival. Her aspirations are to complete a Masters Degree in Conducting so that she can work with a wider range of musicians and ensembles. Aside from performing she enjoys various fiber arts such as knitting, crochet, and cross stitch, as well as hiking in the Foothills and Rockies, and and teaching piano to a small studio of students she enjoys building relationship with each week.
